The rising epidemic of food allergies has puzzled scientists and doctors for decades. Why are so many people—especially children—suddenly developing life-threatening allergies to common foods like peanuts, eggs, and dairy? In a revealing interview on Unbekoming Substack, researcher Vinu Arumugham lays out a theory that challenges the mainstream medical establishment: injected proteins in vaccines and other pharmaceuticals may be triggering immune system hypersensitivity, leading to food allergies and autoimmune diseases.
This idea isn’t new. Over a century ago, scientists discovered that when proteins are ingested, the immune system learns to tolerate them. But when proteins are injected, the immune system treats them as threats, creating a lasting sensitivity. Arumugham’s research suggests that this overlooked mechanism is fueling the explosion of allergies and other chronic immune conditions.
